Why build this way

Gleepot is a grassroots effort, not a growth story. There's no investor round to satisfy and no engagement target to hit — just a series of tools built because they seemed worth building, funded by the people who find them useful.

A lot of what happens here is privacy work: cryptographically secure systems, and a running education in zero-knowledge techniques — proving something is true without revealing the thing itself. That's a genuinely different way to build software, and it shapes how these tools are designed from the ground up, not bolted on as a feature later.

None of that matters if the result is unpleasant to use. Elegant, intuitive UX isn't a nice-to-have here — it's the point. Taste is the filter every project has to pass through, the same way it would for a good bottle of wine, a well-run kitchen, or a well-built room.

Chipping in keeps this independent. That's the whole model.
